This staircase is constructed to match the contemporary open plan living design seen in many home renovations. This Grey Ironbark Staircase was constructed around its Sawtooth stringer. Both treads and risers are 32mm thick joined using an 8mm shadowline detail. The reason behind using a 32mm tread and riser is to create a jagged line of the same width from the ceiling to the floor below.
Staircase is of closed riser, closed stringer construction. Treads, Risers are of Select Grade Blackbutt with Pine Stringers for paint. Balustrade is of Blackbutt with 90 mm square newel posts, 120 x 32 mm Handrail and 32 mm Square balusters side fixed. Timber Screen is Blackbutt with 90 x 42 mm vertical sections. This staircase is designed and constructed to match the contemporary open plan living design seen in many home renovations. This NSW Spotted Gum Staircase was constructed around the concealed glass fixings. This simple line becomes the focus of the staircase. The balustrades on this staircase were a major focus as we did not want to draw attention away from other design features.
This cut string staircase was designed to incorporate both a Cut stringer and Closed stringer. This Glass balustrade is held using 50mm Round Stainless Steel posts with 50mm D-Patch Fittings with Capping to the void edge to ensure a stylish and firm fixing point for the stainless steel posts.
